Perfect Gift for my Daughter

I am so excited... I just bought which for me is the perfect gift for my daughter. I won't till for now, might ruin the surprise maybe at Christmas. I can't stop thinking about it when i first saw it and what if all of it will sold and no more coming. So tonight before we closed i bought it and partially wrapped it of our free wrappers at work and double wrap it on a Christmas wrappers if i have time. Just so that nobody will know what is it hehe. My daughter will love it i know, it's the perfect gift for toddler. Oh can't wait t put it under our tree which we are going to buy a real tree on my day-off.

Amazing Race 13

The Amazing Race seasons 13 is now down to the final 3. The grand finale is gonna be next week. I feel so sad for the mother and son cause they were eliminated tonight. Well, the 2 of my favorites are still racing, the siblings and the frat boys. Anything can happen, even though the siblings are always at first all the time but who knows if they will win the million. I never expect the mother and son will be eliminated tonight but just because of the unexpected things happen they were eliminated. The frat boys were hilarious, they were right for being the under dog and just go with the flow and always hoping for the miracle. I can't wait for the finale, hope that one of my favorites will win.

Thanksgiving Picnic @ Castle Hot Spring

It's a wonderful day today, as what we are planning we are going picnic this Thanksgiving Day. What we've decided is going to Castle Hot Spring for a picnic, exploring in the desert and looking for some nice rocks. We know that there is a possibility for a rain showers and clouds is dark but who cares it's Thanksgiving Day anyway. We are living in Peoria so we started on the Lake Pleasant road and it's been a long time they went to Castle Hot Spring so they forgot how the road feels like. It's seems a little bumpy rocky road and road is on the dried river banks. Just enjoying our day seen couple of rainbows and a lot of stopping's for some very nice views and looking for some nice rocks. All I've observed is that they probably making the river banks as a road cause all year around is mostly dry and might having some waters only whenever it rains but you know Arizona warm all the time and bearly having rain. But if ever the river has high water they used the other road farther more on the way going to Wickenberg. It's like a long drive on a rocky bumpy road and my company keep on saying that they don't think they drove in the river banks before and they been on both ways before. Every time we are in the truck it rains and sunshine comes out everytime we reach on some interesting nice place. It's a beautiful day, a little chilly but we have our jackets with us. God is giving us a wonderful day in this Thanksgiving Day to enjoy our picnic. Castle Hot Spring is a private property now so nobody can go inside, we are just having picnic outside and viewing from outside. These place used to be popular 1800's and up to middle 1900's, very much popular that the hot spring can cure. Instead of going back to we're we've started back home we continued going to Morristown. The road is a little better but still in the dirt road and sign says 21 Miles only but seems we are driving for forever. The very nice part is on our way we meet a snow hail storm, within 10-20 minute. ground is covered with ice and feels like somebody's throwing tiny rocks on the roof of the truck. That was my 1st time seeing a snow shower. That was our wonderful Thanksgiving picnic and when we reach Phoenix we stopped by at the Country Buffet for dinner. Well Thanksgiving is also about eating a lot so we starts digging in again.

Gas Dropping

The economic crisis pulls down the price of gas. The last time i saw tonight is $1.88... well at least on this one it gives me a break. Seems the demand of gas is low, probably people starts commuting or rides bicycle to work instead of cars just to save or probably some people returned their cars cause nothing to pay for their monthly payments might be loses their job. So tight economy hope and pray it will pass pretty soon cause everybody gets affected.

House Prices

This morning we are just driving around from our neighborhood to like Northeast and check for some houses for sale around. As everybody knows Arizona is one of the state known for it's low, affordable or cheap cost of living. We are trying to sell our place one reason is tired to have some renters who is so behind and to be debt free. But we are not in a hurry just if ever it sold, so we are checking houses around just for fun. Gosh so surprise of the value of houses around. Most of what we've seen were either foreclosure or bank owned seems desperately needed to sell. Very low low prices, it seems that you can buy 3 houses if you have $100,000. This is just ordinary houses probably 2 to 3 bedrooms, which you know in a high prices season probably about 150,000 to 250,000 depends on the area. Gosh how much do you think the value now of those 2 story concrete fancy fancy houses which in high prices season cost 500,000 and up??? Those investors around, now probably is the great time to invest. I just wish i have money, i could probably invest some hehehh.

We just got back from our trip about 3:00PM and of course after a minute of relaxing is to check my mails. This one caught on my attention cause it's so dumb and stupid. This one of those chain letters and i usually ignore this kind but not this one. I don't care if it's true or not but for me this is so dumb and stupid things to do.

There, her little girl was lying with cuts all over her face and wrists.
Her Mom backed away and was going to run to call the police when something caught her eye.

OH girl don't be like this... God made us special, we might not be perfectly made physically as what people think about perfectly beautiful but i believed that God didn't look on it as ugly or not well formed. He is just creating the uniqueness of each and everyone. Don't let other people manipulates you just because they think there is something not right based on what they see, hear or feel. Just remember you are unique and beautiful in you own way and God made you special, it's up to you to develop it. Don't ever end up like that girl cause that's the dumbest and stupidest things to do.
It happens to me before, (not the same situation above) the discrimination of appearance. I am not good looking or pretty as what we say. In our place were i grew up, who ever is rich or good looking is always in attention and judge people based on the status of life as rich, middle class and poor and most of the time there is always a gap and poor are always left behind. Good looking are always gets the attention and yeah i am always left behind even in my group of friends. It hurts really but i don't let it ruin my life. I aways think myself as a unique and i am beautiful in my own way and i don't care what other people says. I don't let them manipulates me i find them as a challenge.

Off for A Week

Yes! I am so very excited to take an off from work next week. We are going to Laughlin to meet my husband's Aunt and Uncle, they're coming down from Montana. I am so ready for a week of relaxation, adventure and exploring. After Laughlin we are thinking of going to Quartzsite it's one place here in Arizona that every winter their population grow cause of the snow birds staying just for the winter. Might be going to the Lake Havasu City also. They are bringing their 5th wheel so we are planning on camping with them. I am so excited to see them and spending the winter with them. They're camping in our front yard for the whole winter so we got to spend the Holiday with them.

Black Friday the 28th

Ready for the big sale? I think there's probably a lot of hot deals around cause there a lot of stores who are closing out so they might try there hardest offering great deals that every shoppers won't resist to buy in this big shopping day. The Capitol Christmas Tree

This year's Capitol Christmas Tree is came form Skalkaho Montana. We just got a mail from my husband's aunt with a news paper article about the cutting of the Christmas tree for the US Capitol. She said that they didn't make it cause Uncle Bob was not feeling fine.

I been to that place like 2 times, it's very nice place a lot of pines everywhere that's why we liked to go to that place every time we're going to visit to Montana. Smelling some fresh airs and my husband and i are both nature's lover, we both like exploring the wilderness and have a picnic. Skalkaho falls along the road and runs to the the creek, clean fresh water. Very well taking cared and preserved.

This year's Capitol Christmas Tree is a 100 foot subalpine fir and only cut 75 foot just right for the Capitol. The tree well be placed in front of the Capitol were everybody will enjoy it for the coming holiday.

The pictures is around that place, they call that place the gem mountain cause it's abundant with sapphires. Last year we tried to look for our own sapphire i blog about it in here. We didn't stopped and explore around woods and creeks cause there are still some ice around and i can't find the pictures of out first trip were we took around some creeks and took some pictures of some deer also.

Halloween 2008

I know... I know Halloween is over, i just wanna put picture in remembrance for the Halloween 2008. As usual my daughter doesn't like dressing costume for the Halloween. Her 1st Halloween is a pumpkin, she's almost 8 months at that time so she doesn't care. The 2nd time she is a Leopard and she hates it. Her father's slowly convincing her to try the clothes just for the sake of pictures, she tried it just for a few minutes and cried cause she wanted to take it off. This year i thought she'll gonna like it cause it's Tinkerbell's dress. She is excited at 1st and then she wants change. No trick or treat i had work at that night and my husband don't want to. He's not really into trick or treating.

Coach Carter the Movie

I just watched this movie couple days ago, we rent it in the Blockbuster. This been out since 2005, I'm still in the Philippines that time. I was just curious cause this in my cousin's favorite movie till now. Well she used to be a basketball varsity on her collage days and the movie is about basketball. I just watched it as i said based on a true to life story and it's a very nice movie.

Summary of the movie based on Wikipedia:
The movie begins with a basketball team playing against St. Francis, only to end up with the teams fighting with each other. After the game, Kenneth Carter (Samuel L. Jackson) is officially offered a part-time, low-paying ($1,500 for the whole basketball season) job coaching the basketball team at his old high school, an inner-city public school in Richmond, California for which he had previously played and set as of yet unbroken records. Although he discovers the players to be unruly and disrespectful, he accepts and starts to gain their respect, though they must gain his in return.
Coach Carter sets strict new rules for the team in the form of contracts — they must maintain a 2.3 grade point average (not just the 2.0 GPA set by the CHSAA), they must attend classes and sit in the front row, and they must wear jackets and ties on game days. One of the players, Timo Cruz (Rick Gonzalez), walks out of practice on the first day after an altercation with Carter. Cruz is later seen hanging with his older, drug-dealing cousin, Renny. Two other team members walk out on the team, who were coincidently last season's scoring leaders. However, Carter's son Damien, a good student who attended and played basketball at the private school St. Francis, quits the private school (against his father's wishes) and transfers to Richmond High School to play basketball on his father's team. Carter only agreed after Damien signed a contract stating that he will maintain a GPA of 3.7.
The movie shows the personal side of some players like Kenyon (Rob Brown), whose pregnant girlfriend, Kyra (Ashanti) has given up on her plans for college in favor of having the baby, even though she sees first-hand how that has gone for her cousin. Kenyon becomes confused, unable to decide whether he should continue with his academic life and play basketball in college or take care of the baby. Meanwhile, Cruz goes back and forth between dealing drugs and playing on the team. He walks in on practice one day, asking to return. Carter challenges him with the seemingly impossible task of 1000 suicides and 2500 pushups to be completed in less than a week. Cruz comes close to the set number but is unable to fully finish. His teammates impress Carter by offering to do the rest of the suicides and pushups for Cruz, after which Carter allows Cruz back on the team. Together, Carter and the team, after a heavy course of working out win their first match only to be followed by multiple consecutive wins while in the previous season the team had lost 22 games and only had four wins. Carter is also found on several occasions through out the movie asking Cruz what is his deepest fear.
Despite the team's winning record, Carter eventually realizes the players are developing bad attitudes by being arrogant and taunting the other teams, and that many of them are not living up to his academic requirements. Carter solved the former problem by making fun of them in practice and eventually putting a rule that cocky behavior was prohibited. Later, the team is invited to play in a tournament which they win in dramatic fashion over the home squad. Not only did they win the tournament but they also were invited to a rich girl's house for a party with her friends. They sneaked out only to be discovered missing when Carter went looking for his son. A taxi driver offers to tell Carter about the team's whereabouts. Carter goes to the house to confront his players, coming face to face with the home's owners who had just arrived home. Carter finds Damien in the pool with two girls, kissing one of them. Other members are also soon found including one player who was upstairs with the daughter of the owners, who are unaware of the party's existence. Carter is infuriated with the team's behavior, threatening them with the toughest practices they've had to date.
After receiving the poor grades reports of the team, Carter cracks down on them and locks them out of the gym in the midst of the still undefeated season. He cancels basketball practice, forfeits games including the most important game of the season, and makes the team spend practice time in the library, being tutored by some of their teachers. Although a few of the players are fulfilling the contract (including Kenyon, who protests that he has a 3.3 GPA), Carter insists that all the players must accept the consequences for their collective actions as a team. All of this leads to Cruz quitting the team a second time, eventually going back to work for Renny.
Late one night, Renny is shot and killed on the sidewalk while Cruz is walking back to him after greeting his friends from the team. Cruz ends up at Carter's house that night, apologizing for his behavior and begging him to allow him back on the team.
Eventually, the school board and the parents fight back against Carters actions. The board eventually votes 4–2 to end the lockout, the dissenting votes being the school's principal and the chairwoman of the board. Carter is on the verge of quitting, but when he arrives at the gym to pack up his things, he finds the players sitting at school desks in the gym, with their teachers tutoring them. The players point out that even though the gym is reopened, the school board can't force them to play. Cruz is finally able to answer Carter's question, "What is your deepest fear?", by quoting Marianne Williamson:
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?' Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone, and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
Carter is heartened and decides to stay, thanking the players.
After a fight with his girlfriend, Kenyon receives a full scholarship to Sacramento State University. He then goes back to his girlfriend, telling her that the college wants to help them, as married students with a baby only to discover that she chose to abort the pregnancy. Regardless, they get back together.
The team makes it into the state high-school championship playoffs. The big climactic game takes place at the state tournament's first round against the #1 ranked team in the state, St. Francis (starring a superstar NBA prospect). The score, with four seconds to go, is 68–67 Richmond. In the last possible second, Ty Crane, St Francis's leading player shoots a three point goal, taking the score to 70–68 St. Francis. The team is understandably disappointed by the loss, but Carter gives them an inspirational talk about all they've accomplished, and tells them that this loss wont ever take away what they've accomplished.
Over the closing song, it is told that six of the players went on to college (this was a school at which only about 50% of students graduated, and only 6% of those who graduate usually went to college). Junior Battle went to San Jose State University on a full scholarship. Jason Lyle went to San Diego State University and received a degree in Business Administration. Timo Cruz attended Humboldt State University where he became a starting guard. Jaron "Worm" Willis received a scholarship to San Francisco State University where he played point guard for four years. Kenyon Stone attended Sacramento State University and received a degree in Communications. Damien Carter went on to break the Richmond High School scoring and assist records previously held by his father. Upon graduation, he attends the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Aphrodisiac Foods

I came across this book one day at Goodwill store checking on there sale. It caught to my attention one of their book entitled "INTER COURSES" an aphrodisiac cookbook by: Martha Hopkins & Randall Lockridge. Well it's interisting to learn something and expanding your ideas and imaginations about the stuffs that all people likes hehehh. And you know to share it to everybody like to blog about. I am not interested on the recipes i am interested on the foods that awaken your desire. I don't know if it works but there's no harm in trying especially for those people who really needed this kind of trick just to awaken their deepest desire. Well if you people needed this kind of trick try the chocolate, asparagus, chiles, coffee, basil, grapes, strawberries, honey, artichoke, black beans, oysters, rosemary, edible flowers, pine nuts, avocado, libations and figs. That's what this book says. When i was in the Philippines i heard about "balut", hot spicy chiles and i forgot some. This is probably effective, well like i said there is no harm in trying. Try experimenting if you really needed to hehehh.

All Saint's Day & All Soul's Day

In Filipino tradition we don't really celebrate Halloween... Because Philippines is one of the Catholic nation in Asia we celebrate All Saint's Day and All Soul's Day every 1st and 2nd of November. Nowadays in Philippines some Filipinos probably just those in high class society or people who can afford to buy Halloween costumes were doing Halloween party as most Filipinos are known to be as a "copy cat". Just because a lot of rich Filipinos leave and work on other countries every time they come home they bring foreign tradition and share it to their family and friends. Sometimes acquires it from movies also.
Every 1st of November we celebrate the All Saint's Day, in this day mostly in the church a very special mass celebration for all the Saints in the world. The 2ND of November is the All Soul's Day. Remembering all the souls of families, friends and love ones who rest in peace. This day is a big day celebration in the cemetery. Before this day people were cleaning the cemetery, cleaning their love ones tomb and decorating. Every 2nd of November 24hrs in cemetery is so crowded, people are doing vigil, light a candle, say a prayer and some are partying and having picnic and some were camping. When i was in Cebu my boarding house is in front of a cemetery for rich people in Cebu and every All Soul's Day the streets were so crowded with people in the side walks and a lot of traffic enforcers in every corner leading cars after cars who were going in and out from that cemetery. There is one mall in the main street like 100 meters from the cemetery and their doing midnight sale every time. That is the nicest and cleanest cemetery i been through and very well maintained. You can find building structures of tomb and some were glass building, castles, a house it's very nice inside. There are different kind of structures and some are in the ground tomb also but still they said is still expensive. Some people in a normal day jog around the cemetery just ask permission form the guard. Very well maintained and guarded 24/7.
