Philippines Weather All Year Around

For anybody who is interested on checking The Republic of the Philippines. Better to know the climate or weather too. Gives you an idea of what kind of clothes you'll bring on your travel.

Climate
The Philippines has a tropical climate with three distinct seasons. From June to September, the country experiences a rainy season brought by the southwestern monsoon; typhoons are common during this time. From October to February, the northeastern monsoon brings cold winds from the north, creating cool and dry weather. From March to May, the Philippines experiences hot summers. Coastal areas next to the Pacific Ocean experience year-round rainfall.

The country's average temperature can range from 78-90°F (25-32°C), with humidity around 77 percent. Highland areas are much cooler, with nighttime temperatures at night plunging to 68°F (20°C).

Before, i thought Philippines is so hot but when i got here this place is worst. Only Philippines is so humid but if i have to choose i prefer dry than humid but not too hot.

Region 10 Calamity

Some part of Region X Philippines and most part of the Province of Misamis Oriental was hit by a terrible calamity due to a continuous raining. It's been raining since the 1st week of January and people been evacuated to a high elevated area cause water is rising up. City of Cagayan De Oro has been flooded. I just heard from my friend that water even went inside the mall. From Iligan City to Gingoog City now in the resent news Agusan is affected too. My town is one of the town in between the town of Jasaan were my families and relatives were there. Our house located in a higher elevated part just hope and pray that they don't have any landslide and floods around the area. But i have some relatives living near the ocean, and i'm pretty sure they probably evacuated from their place. Hope and pray they were all alright.

Pacquiao! Pacquiao!

You did it again! If you could just see the pictures of both of their faces, Manny's face is clean looks like no cuts no bruise but on Oscar gosh check it to yourself. De la Hoya couldn't take Pacman's punches after the 8th round. He had to stop the fight so Pacman won TKO (Technical Knock Out). Congratulations Pacman!

In this fight anything can happen but i still hope and pray that Pacquiao will win. They both skillful and expert as a matter of boxing. De La Hoya might be bigger, taller and older than Pacquiao and Paquiao might be younger and won more but as i said anything can happen. All Saint's Day & All Soul's Day

In Filipino tradition we don't really celebrate Halloween... Because Philippines is one of the Catholic nation in Asia we celebrate All Saint's Day and All Soul's Day every 1st and 2nd of November. Nowadays in Philippines some Filipinos probably just those in high class society or people who can afford to buy Halloween costumes were doing Halloween party as most Filipinos are known to be as a "copy cat". Just because a lot of rich Filipinos leave and work on other countries every time they come home they bring foreign tradition and share it to their family and friends. Sometimes acquires it from movies also.
Every 1st of November we celebrate the All Saint's Day, in this day mostly in the church a very special mass celebration for all the Saints in the world. The 2ND of November is the All Soul's Day. Remembering all the souls of families, friends and love ones who rest in peace. This day is a big day celebration in the cemetery. Before this day people were cleaning the cemetery, cleaning their love ones tomb and decorating. Every 2nd of November 24hrs in cemetery is so crowded, people are doing vigil, light a candle, say a prayer and some are partying and having picnic and some were camping. When i was in Cebu my boarding house is in front of a cemetery for rich people in Cebu and every All Soul's Day the streets were so crowded with people in the side walks and a lot of traffic enforcers in every corner leading cars after cars who were going in and out from that cemetery. There is one mall in the main street like 100 meters from the cemetery and their doing midnight sale every time. That is the nicest and cleanest cemetery i been through and very well maintained. You can find building structures of tomb and some were glass building, castles, a house it's very nice inside. There are different kind of structures and some are in the ground tomb also but still they said is still expensive. Some people in a normal day jog around the cemetery just ask permission form the guard. Very well maintained and guarded 24/7.

Rice Crisis

Have you heard or read the news? So devastating especially in Asia...Asian country stop exporting their rice, afraid about the rice shortage might happen. You know how important rice in every meal, in Philippines there should be rice in every meal from breakfast, lunch to dinner. They said that prices are getting high also, i have my families, my relatives and friends in the Philippines and i'm worried about this cause they were more affected by the crisis. Especially now it's summer in there and my mother said that the weather is so hot, just hope and pray that there is no drought happened cause there are still alot of people have rice field in there and fields needs water.
I just remember my grandfather he used to have a rice field before but that was long time ago. He is a very hard working farmer, he owns a wide acres of land. He planted vegetables and fruits, coconuts, bananas, corn and rice. But unfortunately he lost his sight and only couple of his kids continue doing on his farm cause most of them had their own job. That was so long time ago and my father said that they barely buy foods and they raised animals at that time too. Now, not much left... Both of my grandparents are gone and most of their kids are gone. It's a simple life not so complicated and alot different of what is it now.

I love my own my native land

I love my own my native land Philippines my Philippines! I'm a pure Pilipina, born and raised in Philippines. I miss my country my family, relatives and most of my friends are in there and most of all i miss Philippine foods and i'm craving for it all the time.
Here's a little description of my native land:
Philippines is consist of 7,107 island in the Southeast Asia with approximately total land area of 300,00 square kilometers. I've read that Philippines is the same size as the state of Arizona, well as we know Philippines is an scattered island but if it's a solid land it's same size as Arizona. Here's an interesting article that i found: Arizona- Reaching The Filipino Family's American Dream ( True story) No wonder i feel at home in here. But no oceans and beaches in here though and Philippines is a scattered islands surrounded by water. Alot of natural attractions, jeepneys and buses that will take you wherever you want and boats and big ships if you want an island hopping. There are still taxis and airplanes but i like the common and simple ways to enjoy the trip and do some sightseeing. We are planning to have a long vacation in the Philippines and i am so excited about it and hope and pray it's gonna be this year.

Holy Week

A Holy Week is a time to commemorate the death and sufferings of Christ on the cross. It's a time of repentance and reflections of our sins. Do penance, fasting and abstinence. It starts on Palm Sunday and ends on the day before Easter.
Philippines is one of the largest Catholic believer country, some part of our country were people do sacrifice and penance by whipping themselves and some people crucify themselves on the cross on Good Friday. Do fasting and abstinence from the beginning of the Lenten season. On Good Friday Families were pray together, gather together like Christmas time. It's every solemn time of the year, so quiet... even in Cebu it's one of the biggest city in the Philippines and i've been there alot of times during Holy Week and every Good Friday most of the business companys, stores were closed and only few cars on the street we even ended up sometimes walking going to a place where we pray and do station of the cross but it's part of sacrifice not even enough compare to the sufferings of Christ just to saves us from our sins. But it's relieving... say a prayer, reflect for our sins and do penance is relieving and lighten our spirit.
