Virgo

The Virgin
August 23 to September 23

Traditional Traits of Virgo
Modest and shy Meticulous and reliable Practical and diligent Intelligent and analytical
On the dark side....Fussy and a worrier Overcritical and harsh Perfectionist and conservative

The ruler of Virgo is Mercury. The glyph is said to be connected to the Immaculate Conception of the Messiah. It's symbol "The Virgin" originated from the star Spica in the constellation of Virgo.

The Virgo character is precise, refined, and a lover of cleanliness, hygiene and order. Conventional, with a rather reserved manner. They are usually observant, shrewd, critical, and patient. Supporters of the 'status quo', and conservative in all areas of life. Virgos are undemonstrative due to a coolness in their nature. Very selective, and non committal in friendship, they prefer to keep relationships on a superficial basis.

Quietly reserved, Virgos are polite and soft spoken people. Unassuming, outwardly cheerful and agreeable, they can be sensible, discreet, wise and witty, with an understanding of other people's problems which they tackle with deftness. Virgos find their friends among those who can help them move up the social strata. They can be name droppers as they like to associate with achievers.

Both sexes have considerable charm and dignity, which make some male Virgoans appear effeminate when they are not. In marriage they can be genuinely affectionate, and make good partners and parents. More concerned with the outcome than the process, Virgos lack spontaneity. They are meticulous planners, considering every detail and its effect. There is seldom much room for emotional involvement because the mind is always engaged and dominant. What they lack in passion they make up for in preciseness.

They are practical, mental people, possessing inquiring and logical minds. In this respect, they make excellent students, and good teachers. Their mental bend gives them the ability to analyze and solve the most complicated problems. Virgos have a wonderful eye for detail and often neglect the overall issues. Practical and good with their hands, they are excellent technicians and have good inventive talents. Hard workers and conscientious, they are perfectionists with little tolerance for shoddy work. There is no place in their world for people who are footloose and fancy free.

Due to the Virgo preference for detail rather than the big picture, they make better workers than they do leaders. Virgoans are essentially tacticians, admirable in the attainment of limited objectives. They have a basic distrust in their nature, not only of other people but themselves as well. They project this mistrust to others and therefore make exacting employers. Although, they will never ask anyone to do what they won't do, it is still asking a lot, because most people will not go to the pains a Virgo will.

Virgos possess a strong potential for the arts, sciences and language. They are well suited for any career where analysis, detail and precision are required. They make excellent programmers, accountants, and statisticians. Many go into medicine, law, and the teaching profession. With an avid interest in history, some Virgos make excellent writers and researchers.

On the shadow side, Virgos have a penchant for turning molehills into mountains, difficulties into stress and cleanliness into obsessive behavior. There is a need to pay attention to health concerns, particularly those related to overt stress. Virgos are predisposed to worry and hypochondria, even to the point of exhibiting symptoms of the latest diseases. It can be beneficial to take up a pastime which occupies the mind and the hands, while providing a sense of accomplishment. A Virgo finds peace where his or her physical mark can be measured on Earth.

"As a virgoans, traits that i strongly possess are modest and shy meticulous, very practical and analytical and i'm a worrier and sometimes it gives me stress of too much thinking. I am really a lover of cleanliness and organizing or i might be obsess. I agree with being a better worker than a leader cause at work they want me to be a supervisor if i work full-time and i just simply say "thank you" i always support and help who ever my supervisor than me being a supervisor cause for me i am a worker not a leader." Quietly reserved and soft spoken. Cheerful, sensible, discreet, wise and witty."

Family Day

It's Family Day Sunday and we went out to the desert for a picnic. We are hoping to find some snows cause it rains couple of days ago but we didn't went too far we ended up following a dirt road in the desert. It's a nice exploring we picked up nice big and little rocks for our yard and we found a river and Richelle is enjoying throwing rocks on the water and we are playing scaping rocks on the river. We set our picnic in there and stays and watch the river for awhile. It's a nice fun family day...

My name is....

I'd passed by a book at work about what's the meaning of your name and i got curious to find out what my name means it says that Cordelia,Cordellia or Cordella means a good-hearted woman; a woman of honesty. Pretty cool huh?? possibly, well i agree most of it like 75% hehehe. Then i watched at jeopardy game show probably it was last week and i found out that my name comes from the Latin word of "heart". So it gives me interest to find more about the meaning of my name so i Google it.
There are a lot of people same name as mine in Google and what i discovered and i like the most is that CORDELIA- is one of the smaller moon in the Solar System and is the innermost known moon of Uranus. It has a diameter of 15 kilometers(9 miles) and 49,750 kilometers(36,910 miles) from the center of Uranus. Cordelia acts as the inner Shepherd Satellite for the Uranus' epsilon ring.
Find out what your name means it might surprise you...

Inspirational Story - worth reading for

The first day of school our professor introduced himself and challenged us to get to know someone we didn't already know. I stood up to look around when a gentle hand touched my shoulder. I turned around to find a wrinkled, little old lady beaming up at me with a smile that lit up her entire being. She said, "Hi handsome. My name is Rose. I'm eighty-seven years old. Can I give you a hug?" I laughed and enthusiastically responded, "Of course you may!" and she gave me a giant squeeze. "Why are you in college at such a young, innocent age?" I asked. She jokingly replied, "I'm here to meet a rich husband, get married, and have a couple of kids..." "No seriously," I asked. I was curious what may have motivated her to be taking on this challenge at her age. "I always dreamed of having a college education and now I'm getting one!" she told me. After class we walked to the student union building and shared a chocolate milkshake. We became instant friends. Every day for the next three months we would leave class together and talk nonstop. I was always mesmerized listening to this "time machine" as she shared her wisdom and experience with me. Over the course of the year, Rose became a campus icon and she easily made friends wherever she went. She loved to dress up and she reveled in the attention bestowed upon her from the other students. She was living it up. At the end of the semester we invited Rose to speak at our football banquet. I'll never forget what she taught us. She was introduced and stepped up to the podium. As she began to deliver her prepared speech, she dropped her three by five cards on the floor. Frustrated and a little embarrassed she leaned into the microphone and simply said, "I'm sorry I'm so jittery. I gave up beer for Lent and this whiskey is killing me! I 'l l never get my speech back in order so let me just tell you what I know." As we laughed she cleared her throat and began, "! We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing. There are only four secrets to staying young, being happy, and achieving success. You have to laugh and find humor every day. You've got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die. We have so many people walking around who are dead and don't even know it! There is a huge difference between growing older and growing up. If you are nineteen years old and lie in bed for one full year and don't do one productive thing, you will turn twenty years old. If I am eighty-seven years old and stay in bed for a yea r and never do anything I will turn eighty-eight. Anybody can grow older. That doesn't take any talent or ability. The idea is to grow up by always finding opportunity in change. Have no regrets. The elderly usually don't have regrets for what we did, but rather for things we did not do. The only people who fear death are those with regrets." She concluded her speech by courageously singing "The Rose." She challenged each of us to study the lyrics and live them out in our daily lives. At the year's end Rose finished the college degree she had begun all those years ago. One week after graduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep. Over two thousand college students attended her funeral in tribute to the wonderful woman who taught by example that it's never too late to be all you can possibly be.

We make a Living by what we get, We make a Life by what we give. God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage. If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

I like the story it's so inspiring. As i said on one of my post " where there is life there is hope". There isn't too late to start believing to start dreaming just because we are too old. Live our life to the fullest and be our self don't care of what people gonna say as long we are happy in your life.

THE GREATEST ADVICE- Rick Warren

THE GREATEST ADVICE - Rick Warren, the Purpose Driven Life

Don't date because you are desperate.Don't marry because you are miserable.Don't have kids because you think your genes are superior.Don't philander because you think you are irresistible.
Don't associate with people you can't trust.Don't cheat. Don't lie. Don't pretend.Don't dictate because you are smarter.Don't demand because you are stronger.
Don't sleep around because you think you are old enough & know better.Don't hurt your kids because loving them is harder.Don't sell yourself, your family, or your ideals.
Don't stagnate!Don't regress.Don't live in the past. Time can't bring anything or anyone back.Don't put your life on hold for possibly Mr. Right.
Don't throw your life away on absolutely Mr. Wrong because your biological clock is ticking.Learn a new skill.Find a new friend. Start a new career.Sometimes, there is no race to be won, only a price to be paid for some of life's more hasty decisions.
To terminate your loneliness, reach out to the homeless. To feed your nurturing instincts, care for the needy. To fulfill your parenting fantasies, get a puppy.
Don't bring another life into this world for all the wrong reasons. To make yourself happy, pursue your passions & be the best of what you can be.
Simplify your life. Take away the clutter.Get rid of destructive elements: abusive friends, nasty habits, and dangerous liaisons.
Don't abandon your responsibilities but don't overdose on duty.Don't live life recklessly without thought and feeling for your family.Be true to yourself.
Don't commit when you are not ready.Don't keep others waiting needlessly.Go on that trip. Don't postpone it.
Say those words. Don't let the moment pass.Do what you have to, even at society's scorn.
Write poetry.Love Deeply.Walk barefoot.Dance with wild abandon.Cry at the movies.
Take care of yourself. Don't wait for someone to take care of you.You light up your life. You drive yourself to your destination. No one completes you - except YOU.
It isn't true that life does not get easier with age.It only gets more challenging.
Don't be afraid. Don't lose your capacity to love.Pursue your passions.Live your dreams.
Don't lose faith in God. Don't grow old. Just grow YOU!
When you give someone your time, you are giving them a portion of your life that you'll never get back. Your time is your life. That is why the greatest gift you can give to someone is your time.
Relationships take time and effort, and the best way to spell love is T-I-M-E because the essence of love is not what we think or do or provide for others, but how much we give of ourselves.
God is good all the time! Life is short. Let`s make beautiful things happen.

You can sell it on ebay

Yup! I'm selling on eBay, this is before i don't have a job. The 1st time i got in here it's so boring, lonely and nothing to do. I'm all by myself in the house all the time cause my husband works whole day. I am not get used of being alone, you know how it is in the Philippines there are alot of people everywhere and my family and friends are all there also.Even i am far from my family i got alot of board mates in my boarding house and friends at work. If there is nothing to do you just ride a jeep to go wherever you want, go to a mall or call or visit a friend. Soooo my husband show me how to do eBay so that i won't get homesick, i used his account cause i don't have at that time and even now that i got one. I got busy on that day and i like it, it's great past time and easy earning money. The problem when you do eBay is what to sell and what's got most potential to sold. So i have to study eBay on my extra time, i got interest on clothes cause there are alot of selections so i stick to it. My husband's aunt and uncle used to have a house here in Arizona so she picked me to go shopping cause i don't know how to drive, we go to a thrift stores, estate sales and yard sales to find stuff, it's fun and i like it. Even if they got money they like to go to a thrift stores, a estate sales and a yard sales that is here hobby to find treasures and fun stuffs.

I provide accurate descriptions of what I'm selling so that we are happy and content. I am buying and selling items in excellent condition and sometimes new with tags and even vintage items in excellent condition. I made my husbands positive feedback growing and as of now he is the one selling on eBay on his extra time and makes me his model sometimes. We don't have ladies clothes all the time so I'm not always showing up on eBay.

I told my husband i guess all the people around the world could fit here. That's a boring drive anyway we just want to get there fast and on the way back to get home fast. We are thinking the next time we try another way and take our time and enjoy.
This picture is just Crown King one place here in Arizona and it's so empty. Phoenix is crowded so populated, why not some people live in this place and multiply and make a new city??? Well, just a thought...

A good bargain is a great deal

I love bargains... I'm a shopaholic but in a bargain place. Look at me, i may be cheap but got a style. "wink" hahaha. I like to shop to a last chance and a thrift store, a last chance is a store where you can find known brands but in cheap price. Items that are reject or defective but still in good condition and new and in a fair price cause it's cheap you can't beat with that. Thrift stores are those donations items, most of it were used and some were worn out hahaha. I won't buy worn out, I'm looking for an excellent like new condition that's why you have to browse, browse and browse till you can find a great deal with a style. Some people donate new stuffs too with tags. There are a lot of fun stuffs at thrift stores and a lot of selections in every occasions. I go to wall-mart, target and k-mart also but you know I'm into bargain so i won't really spend if for me it's too much or i can still find a nice one in those cheap stores in a very cheap price. But if it's important and i really need it or i can't live without it i won't mind risking few dollars on my pocket. hehehe.

Moving on

We've been planning to move after we sell our house. I guess it is really time to move on and probably this is the right time. My husband quits his job a month ago, he wasn't really happy in there and it gives him a lot of stress. He is been back and fourth in the hospital and their checking him thoroughly but there is nothing really wrong physically. He got this stress and anxiety from his job. Well, he worked as a customer service in an appliance company and a lot of times he deals with this rude customer and sometimes threatening him. After those few visits in the hospital for nothing is wrong he decided to quit and relax for awhile maybe it helps. It sure do helps and he is doing great now and I'm happy about it. Health is very important and we have to take care of our health first. There's a sayings that says "where there is life there is hope" and i really believe in this, just strive hard and be patient.
Soooo we are planning to sell our house and probably move to Casa Grande, we have little property in there and probably build a little house just right for us. Not too bad of a place and it's growing, their building here and there and just an hour from Phoenix or probably less. We are thinking about having a pizza business after. Oh boy, my husband cooked a very delicious pizza and not to brag but it's way better than some other pizza we tried.
We just hope and pray that real estate prices will come up by the time we put our house for sale. Well, it's gonna be for awhile cause he is still renovating and fixing some part of it and he gonna have alot of time doing it now cause he's not working anymore.

Need help customizing my page

RV Lover

I'm very much fascinated with the RV, the 1st time i laid my eyes on it i fall in love with that thing. They call it RVs, campers or 5Th wheel. My husband's aunt and uncle got one and that's the 1st time i got a tour on it. You can find all the comfort of the home inside; got a little room with bed inside, a tiny bathroom, a little dining area, on the other side is a little living room and the kitchen area. Probably too tight not alot space and doesn't have washer, you have to go to a laundry matt to do the washer but i like it and i love it. It's like a house on wheels and it's great for recreation like camping and exploring places. You don't have to rent a room to stay in just park in an RV park or in a camping area and it's much cheaper. When i have enough money I'm gonna buy one of it, i don't care if it's second hand cause I'm not really planning of buying a new one cause it's expensive but as long as it's clean and good condition I'm OK with it and we're going exploring everywhere! You wanna come?? hahaha

Forwarded by my cousin

George Carlin's Views on Aging

Do you realize that the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we're kids? If you're less than 10 years old, you're so excited about aging that you think in fractions. "How old are you?" "I'm four and a half!"You're never thirty-six and a half. You're four and a half, going on five! That's the keyYou get into your teens, now they can't hold you back. You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead. "How old are you?" "I'm gonna be 16!" You couldbe 13, but hey, you're gonna be 16! And then the greatest day of your life . you become 21. Even the words soundlike a ceremony . YOU BECOME 21. YESSSS!!! But then you turn30. Oooohh, what happened there? Makes you sound like bad milk! He TURNED; we had to throw him out. There's no fun now, you're Just a sour-dumpling. What's wrong? What's changed? You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you're PUSHING 40.Whoa! Put on the brakes, it's all slipping away. Before you know it, youREACH 50 and your dreams are gone. But wait!!! You MAKE it to 60. You didn't think you would! So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50 and MAKE it to 60.You've built up so much speed that you HIT 70! After that it's a day-by-day thing; you HIT Wednesday! You get into your 80's and every day is a complete cycle;you HIT lunch; you TURN 4:30; you REACH bedtime. And it doesn't end there. Into the 90s, you start going backwards; "I Was JUST 92."Then a strange thing happens. If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again. "I'm 100 and a half!" May you all make it to a healthy 100 and a half!!

HOW TO STAY YOUNG
1. Throw out nonessentialnumbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay "them."
2. Keep only cheerfulfriends. The grouches pull you down.
3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laughoften, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
6. The tears happen.Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVEwhile you are alive.
7. Surround yourselfwith what you love ,whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
9. Don't take guilt trips.Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.
10. Tell the people youlove that you love them , at every opportunity. AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

How brilliant! yup, we can't control time... How fast it come and go. That's why enjoy every moment even how harsh, how painful, how unfair it is; this are just spicies of life and it will also passes by as how time passes so fast.

Indoor Pollution

Even inside our house is not safe for air pollution. Everything that comes in to our homes has the potential to be harmful to our health. This includes things from the building materials, furniture, paints, household cleaning products, personal care products and pesticides. There are some chemicals from this products causing the air pollution.

We've been renovating our house every now and then, my husband is the only one doing it cause contractors at this time are expensive. He is taking the old and ugly part and make it look nice. From those woods and paints he is using are having some fumes and my husband is allergy into smells so he start coughing and sneezing. We've learned that there are some household plants that help cleansing the air and absorbing chemicals such as formaldehyde and benzene the common chemicals we get from building materials and paints.

These are the top 5 plants that are good in removing pollutants in the air: English Ivy, Spider Plant, Golden Pathos, Peace Lily and Chinese Evergreen. We put alot of Spider Plant and Golden Pathos in our house and not just good for removing air pollution it's nice for decorations also.

The Beauty of a Woman

Why Women Cry... A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm a woman," she told him. "I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will." Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?" "All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say. The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry Finally he put in a call to God When God got on the phone, he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?" God said: "When I made the woman she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort. I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that manytimes comes from her children. I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining. I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly. I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart. I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly. And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed." "You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides."

Healthful Tips

BRAIN DAMAGING HABITS
1. No Breakfast
People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower blood sugar level. This leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain degeneration.
2. Overeating
It causes hardening of the brain arteries, leading to a decrease in mental power.
3. Smoking
It causes multiple brain shrinkage and may lead to Alzheimer disease.
4. High Sugar Consumption
Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing malnutrition and may interfere with brain development.
5. Air Pollution
The brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our body. Inhaling polluted air decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain efficiency.
6. Sleep Deprivation
Sleep allows our brain to rest. Long term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the death of brain cells.
7. Head covered while sleeping
Sleeping with the head covered, increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and decrease concentration of oxygen that may lead to brain damaging effects.
8. Working your brain during illness
Working hard or studying with sickness may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the brain as well as damage the brain.
9. Lacking in stimulating thoughts
Thinking is the best way to train our brain, lacking in brain stimulation thoughts may cause brain shrinkage.
10. Talking Rarely
Intellectual conversations will promote the efficiency of the brain
------------------------------------------------
The main causes of liver damage are:
1. Sleeping too late and waking up too late are main cause.
2. Not urinating in the morning.
3. Too much eating.
4. Skipping breakfast.
5. Consuming too much medication.
6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring, and artificial sweetener.
7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil. As much as possible reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil. Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is very fit.
8. Consuming raw (overly done) foods also add to the burden of liver.
9. Veggies - should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.
We should prevent this without necessarily spending more. We just have to adopt a good daily lifestyle and eating habits. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our bodies to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to "schedule." Because: Evening at 9 - 11pm : is the time for eliminating unnecessary/toxic chemicals (detoxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes). This time duration should be spent by relaxing. If during this time a housewife is still in an unrelaxed state such as washing the dishes or monitoring children doing their homework, this will have a negative impact on health.
Evening at 11pm - 1am: is the detoxification process in the liver, and ideally should be done in a deep sleep state. Early morning 1 - 3am: detoxification process in the gall, also ideally done in a deep sleep state.
Early morning 3 - 5am: detoxification in the lungs. Therefore there will sometimes be a severe cough for cough sufferers during this time. Since the detoxification process had reached the respiratory tract, there is no need to take cough medicine so as not to interfere with toxin removal process.
Morning 5 - 7am: detoxification in the colon, you should empty your bowel.
Morning 7 - 9am: absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, you should be having breakfast at this time. Breakfast should be earlier, before 6:30am, for those who are sick. Breakfast before 7:30am is very beneficial to those wanting to stay fit. Those who always skip breakfast, they should change their habits, and it is still better to eat breakfast late until 9 - 10am rather than no meal at all.
Sleeping so late and waking up too late will disrupt the process of removing unnecessary chemicals. Aside from that, midnight to 4:00 am is the time when the bone marrow produces blood. Therefore, have a good sleep and don't sleep late.

Arizona Sunset

Arizona is known for it's beautiful sunset, very hot summer and the spectacular Grand Canyon. The home of the Arizona Cardinals, Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks, Phoenix Coyotes and Jordin Sparks. hehehe...
We went for a picnic one time at the white tanks mountain where we capture this beautiful sunset. It's like a reign of fire, reddish orange colors all around behind the mountain and even more beautiful as it fades its colors. Two of this pictures are three pieces and i connect this three cause i want you to see how wide it goes. We've seen alot of times a very nice sunset here in Arizona but we don't have a camera with us. We're not expecting to see a truly nice one at this time and capturing a beautiful Arizona sunset.
Happy to share this to everyone and hope you like it.

I like this shows, this are my favorite TV shows the reality show. I was first introduce by this by my husband way back four some years ago in the Philippines. The first time, i didn't started it so i find it not interesting but later on I'm stuck in there. What they says are based on their opinion no coaching, no actors, no acting. This are the list of my most favorite:1.) The Amazing Race in which the last season is just ended. 2.) The Survivor and their seasons premier stars this 7Th and I'm so excited about it. 3.) The Big Brother, hahaha I'm sooo excited about this too cause the Big Brother 9 seasons premiere starts this 12th. 4.)The Americas Next Top Model and their seasons premiere on the 20th. and 5.) The Apprentice. If none of this shows on TV well i won't watch TV we always rent DVDs so I'm hanging on the movie. There are some reality shows that i watch sometimes those that are not on my list, those are the least of my favorite but i still watch it. oh yeah! That's me reality addict, fanatic , whatever.
